1.  What is a mobile app for business?

A mobile app is a software program downloaded to a smart phone that creates a useful  and efficient connection to information about your business.  With one click of your app's icon, users can see all the information they need about your business, right on their smart phones, no matter where they are.

2.  What is the difference between an app and a mobile website?

A mobile app places all of the information about your business on their smart phone (within your app), when they download it.  Since apps update when they are opened, the information is as current as it gets.  And because the information is stored in the phone, internet access is not required to access it.

Mobile apps utilize the native features of the mobile device, like phone calling, emailing, texting and gps directions, to make the experience of connecting with your business simple and easy.

Mobile websites reside on the internet, just as desktop sites do.  They require internet access to connect with them, so information may not always be available from a mobile device, or may use the device's data plan to access it.  Mobile websites are often the first contact you will have with a prospective customer, and their importance cannot be ignored.

With the trends in smart phone usage, a high quality mobile website is becoming a necessity for every business, but it should be noted that they are still limited in functionality and features compared to  mobile apps.  We recommend both.  A mobile app is a very powerful hub of information and connection to all things pertaining to your business, and a mobile site is essential for customers (new and old) to find and gain access to your business from their mobile device.

3.  I have a website.  Do I still need an app?

Finding and connecting to a website from a smart phone or tablet device can be very tedious and time consuming.  Your customers may give up their search for you, or be taken to the wrong site.  If they do get to your site, navigating a website from a smart phone can be a difficult and frustrating experience that may not result in your customers finding what they are looking for.  Since a mobile app brings everything about your business into a single, easy-access point on their mobile device, it will become the go-to source for your customers in short order.

4.  I have a Facebook Page.  Why would I need an app?

Your app will include a link directly to your Facebook Page, where your fans can read your posts, comment, and share them to their own Timeline.  Your app's home page will also include a link that allows them to share your app with friends and family with a single click.

Why is that important?  Facebook has become a very powerful marketing tool for businesses, but, it's not perfect.  If your fans are not on their Facebook home page when your post arrives, they may not ever see it because not everyone takes the time to review older posts and share them.  And, navigating to your Facebook Page on a mobile device can be as challenging as finding your website.

5.  Can I use other Social Media with my app?

Yes, you can link your app users to any of your social media accounts with a simple click.

6.  What about Review Sites?
